SUPPORT

Keep the evidence.
Then fix the issue.

Help with local data, iCloud collaboration, exchange rates, and purchases.

01The app cannot open household data

If you see a persistence error, keep the error text and do not delete the app or reset the device. If View retained input is available, you can inspect the saved text there; this does not repair or recreate the main ledger. Try opening the ledger again. If the issue continues, send only the device model, iOS version, and error text to support. Do not include balances, account names, or financial screenshots.

02Where is unconfirmed input?

Open Settings → Unconfirmed input. Automatic saving does not confirm an entry; check the save state on the entry screen. If saving fails, keep the original text and try again. This text is excluded from household sharing, JSON and SQLite ledger exports, and system backups. These backups cannot recover it after you explicitly discard it or delete the app.

03Why do copied balances still need confirmation?

Historical balances have not been reviewed for the current check. Members must confirm each account before completing it. Copying creates structured ledger records that can be shared within the same household when collaboration is active. They are separate from the device-only text you have not yet confirmed as an entry.

04iCloud collaboration is not updating

Confirm that the device uses the expected Apple Account, iCloud Drive is available, and Family Asset Plus is unlocked. Open Settings → Household sharing to review the current state and notices. Do not repeatedly leave the share, which can remove useful diagnostic context.

05Local data already exists before joining

The app warns you and protects a local ledger backup before opening a shared household. Two ledgers are not merged automatically. Unconfirmed entry text is excluded from that backup; it keeps its original ledger and member context and is not automatically applied to the new ledger.

06Automatic exchange rates are unavailable

Check the automatic-rate setting and refresh status under Settings → Exchange rates. You can explicitly choose and review manual rates for a check. The app does not silently replace a failed request with a default quote. A completed snapshot stores the exact rates used for that check.

07Screenshot prefill cannot find a balance

Confirm the appropriate Photos permission and a matching screenshot saved within the last hour. Recognition happens on-device. The suggested balance is recorded in the check only after you confirm it. Manual balance entry always remains available.

08Family Asset Plus did not restore

Check the App Store purchase account under Media & Purchases in system settings, then choose Restore purchases under Settings → Purchases and restore in the app. The iCloud identity for household collaboration and purchase access are checked separately. If Apple provides Family Sharing access, the app also relies on StoreKit’s current verification. Apple processes payments; the app does not directly receive payment-card details.

LET’S TALK

Let’s work through it.

Include the device model, iOS version, steps, and error text. Leave out balances, member names, account names, notes, and financial screenshots.
